The assessment aimed to understand the profiles and priority needs of refugee households to inform the 2024 Regional Refugee Response Plan. Using convenience sampling, the assessment surveyed 557 refugee households. Data was collected through in-person interviews by the Estonian Refugee Council, UNHCR, and IOM Estonia. Key topics included health, protection, food security, education, livelihoods, child protection, mental health, information management, and basic needs. As a key source to guide the refugee response, the 2023 assessment provides insights into the experiences and urgent needs of Ukrainian refugees who have fled to Estonia.","geog_coverage":"Estonia","analysis_unit":"Household","universe":"Households fleeing Ukraine: The assessment aimed to evaluate the profiles and urgent needs of these households as part of a regional exercise for the Ukraine Situation.","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The scope includes: \n- demographics \n- cash and livelihoods \n- protection \n- health \n- education \n- accommodation \n- accountability \n- feedback on humanitarian assistance","nation":[{"name":"Estonia","abbreviation":"EST"}],"keywords":[{"keyword":"MSNA"},{"keyword":"Ukraine refugees"},{"keyword":"Needs assessment"}],"topics":[{"topic":"Health"},{"topic":"Protection"},{"topic":"Food security"},{"topic":"Education"},{"topic":"Livelihood and Social cohesion"},{"topic":"Gender Based Violence"},{"topic":"Child Protection"},{"topic":"Mental Health and Psychosocial Support"},{"topic":"Cash Assistance"}],"coll_dates":[{"start":"2023-09-09","end":"2023-10-15"}]},"method":{"data_collection":{"sampling_procedure":"The sampling procedure for the 2023 Multi-Sector Needs Assessment (MSNA) in Estonia utilized a non-probability convenience sampling method.
