The underlying principle behind the process is linked to accountability, as well as a commitment to improve the quality and relevance of support provided, and related services. UNHCR increasingly uses cash based interventions (CBIs) as a preferred modality for delivering assistance, offering greater dignity and choice to forcibly displaced persons in line with UNHCR\u2019s core protection mandate. In order to ensure that the cash assistance provided meets the intended objectives and that desired outcomes are achieved, UNHCR conducts regular post-distribution and outcome monitoring with a sample of refugee recipients residing across the country.","geog_coverage":"Dushanbe District (Dushanbe Region(), Jabbor Rasulov District (Sughd Region), Rudaki District (Districts of Republican Subordination), Vahdat District (Districts of Republican Subordination), Tajikistan","analysis_unit":"Household","universe":"Refugees and asylum-seekers receiving UNHCR cash assistance in Tajikistan","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The scope includes: \n- demographics \n- cash and livelihoods \n- protection \n- health \n- education \n- accomodation \n- accountability \n- feedback on humanitarian assistance","nation":[{"name":"Tajikistan","abbreviation":"TJK"}],"keywords":[{"keyword":"Cash Based Intervention"},{"keyword":"Post Distribution Monitoring"},{"keyword":"CBI-PDM"},{"keyword":"Tajikistan"}],"topics":[{"topic":"Health"},{"topic":"Protection"},{"topic":"Education"},{"topic":"Community Services"},{"topic":"Child Protection"},{"topic":"Cash Assistance"},{"topic":"Legal Assistance"},{"topic":"Income Generation"}],"coll_dates":[{"start":"2023-12-06","end":"2023-12-18"}]},"method":{"data_collection":{"sampling_procedure":"The sample was calculated for 268 households assisted during the reporting period, with a confidence level of 95% and a 5% margin of error, resulting in a required sample size of 171 households. Random Sampling: A random sample of 320 households was selected, from which 173 interviews were conducted, slightly exceeding the required sample size. Diversity Consideration: The sample size was chosen considering various recipient categories, including gender, age groups, family size, and operating sites throughout Tajikistan. Avoiding Interview Fatigue: Efforts were made to select beneficiaries who did not participate in previous monitoring surveys. Gender and Age Distribution: The sample included 75 females (43.35%) and 98 males (56.65%), with age groups of 36-59 years (67.05%), 18-35 years (26.01%), and above 60 years (6.36%).","coll_mode":["Computer Assisted Telephone Interview [cati]"],"data_collectors":[{"name":"United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees"}]}},"data_access":{"dataset_use":{"cit_req":"United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (2026).
