The number of people crossing fluctuated greatly in the early onset of the war in Ukraine.\n\nTo understand the drivers of displacement and intentions of refugees, over 18,000 interviews were conducted with people crossing from Ukraine into Poland, Hungary, Moldova and Slovakia. Interviews were conducted at several border checkpoint and certain reception centers, and began on 28 February. Interviewees were selected purposively to gain a broader understanding of experiences and intentions, and results should therefore be considered indicative. \n \n This dataset is the anonymized version of the original data.","geog_coverage":"Border crossing points between Ukraine and Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova","analysis_unit":"Households","universe":"All asylum seekers","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The scope includes:\n- Protection\n- Food Security\n- Emergency Shelter and NFI\n- Community Services\n- Education\n- Livelihood & Social cohesion\n- Gender Based Violence","nation":[{"name":"Hungary","abbreviation":"HUN"},{"name":"Moldova","abbreviation":"MDA"},{"name":"Poland","abbreviation":"POL"},{"name":"Slovak Republic","abbreviation":"SVK"},{"name":"Romania","abbreviation":"ROU"}],"topics":[{"topic":"Livelihood and Social cohesion"},{"topic":"Education"},{"topic":"Basic Needs"},{"topic":"Domestic Needs\/Household Support"},{"topic":"Shelter\/Other Infrastructure"},{"topic":"Legal Assistance\/Protection"}],"coll_dates":[{"start":"2022-02-28","end":"2022-06-05"}]},"method":{"data_collection":{"sampling_procedure":"Non probabilistic, purposive sample in targeted locations","coll_mode":"Face-to-face [f2f]","research_instrument":"","coll_situation":"","weight":"","data_collectors":[{"name":"UNHCR"}]}},"data_access":{"dataset_use":{"cit_req":"UNHCR, REACH (2022).
