The objective of the assessment was to complement the multi-sector needs assessment conducted in August 2022 (https:\/\/microdata.unhcr.org\/index.php\/catalog\/778) and to better inform an area-based response by the local authorities and humanitarian actors. The specific focus of the assessment was to identify priority needs of the refugee population in terms of access to basic services, social cohesion between refugees as well as host population, and local refugee response mechanisms.\n\nThe assessment used a mixed-methods approach, including data from secondary sources as well as primary qualitative and quantitative data. For the primary quantitative component, a set of structured household questionnaires were used: one for refugees and one for host households. The four geographic areas were decided as they were hosting the largest number of refugees at the time of the assessment. Temporary protection data was used to get an estimate of the refugees in the four cities assessed. Purposive sampling was used, therefor the results can only be considered as indicative and are not representative of the whole population of interest. See further details on the methodology in the report.\n\nThis data is an anonymous version of the original data collected and used for the primary analysis.","geog_coverage":"cities of Bratislava, Kosice, Nitra, Zilina in slovakia","analysis_unit":"Individuals and Households","universe":"Refugees and host populations in the four cities covered.","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The scope includes: \n- key characteristics of refugee communities \n- priority needs in terms of access to basic services \n- impact of refugees on basic service provision \n- relationship between refugees and host populations \n- actors engaged in refugee response","nation":[{"name":"Slovak Republic","abbreviation":"SVK"}],"keywords":[{"keyword":"assessment"},{"keyword":"Ukraine refugees"},{"keyword":"needs assessment"},{"keyword":"host populations"}],"topics":[{"topic":"Protection"},{"topic":"Community Services"},{"topic":"Livelihood and Social cohesion"}],"coll_dates":[{"start":"2022-10-27","end":"2022-12-16"}]},"method":{"data_collection":{"sampling_procedure":"Purpose and thus are not statistically representative.
