For the most part, families in transit are walking or asking for hitchhiking to cross the borders using irregular routes, which increases protection risks along the way. The data is collected with the purpose of designing responses to mitigate protection risks.\nThe information in this dataset was collected during the first half of 2023 at the following locations: Madre de Dios, Puno, Tacna, Tumbes, and Lima.
