    Abstract

    UNHCR (Cox’s Bazar Field Office) conducted the third round of its WASH Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) survey from 12th October to 7th November 2021 in UNHCR’s area of operation in Kutupalong and Teknaf. Five WASH partners implemented the survey.
    The objectives of the study were:
    1.To monitor and evaluate impacts of UNHCR WASH interventions in camps;
    2.To identify and measure weaknesses and gaps in UNHCR WASH interventions in 2020;
    3.To provide guidance for UNHCR WASH future interventions and future sustainable WASH programming for Rohingya refugees;
    4.Be able to compare UNHCR Bangladesh WASH interventions to UNHCR Global KAP standards.

    Sampling Procedure

    Simple Random Sampling calculated by estimating a 5% non-response rate to reach a 95% confidence level. The number of interviews required was 1,316. 1777 responses were obtained.

    Each NGO partners collected data from households located in camps other than their own area of operation. This was done to avoid the possibility of bias due to familiarity and acquaintance with the households.
