Abstract
Community map data shows household-level accessibility to health care services, specifically maternity, pediatric, sexual health and reproduction, emergency and family care services, across 10 sample wards within two districts.
The sample wards in Temeke district include Tandika, Makangarawe, Mbagala and Mbagala Kuu, while the sample wards in Mbeya district include Mabatini, Iyunga, Nzovwe, Kalobe, Uyole and Iyela.
This rich survey data highlights the challenges and barriers citizens face in accessing these services, ranging from lack of staff to medicine shortages to high costs as well as the distance (in minutes) members of a household must travel (by walking, public bus, motorcycle or taxi) to reach such services.
Data collection in Temeke district took place between November 2017 to February 2018 and between February 2018 to May 2018 in the district of Mbeya (Urban) in Tanzania.
