Abstract
The study investigates the relationship between household migration intentions and women empowerment in Afghanistan. Despite the country's ongoing migration issues and poor indicators of gender equality, the analysis reveals that women empowerment measures (women leader, women support, women job, and girls education) do not significantly influence household migration intentions when considered separately. However, these measures have a significant impact when analyzed together, highlighting the importance of political, social, and economic empowerment of women in explaining migration intentions. The findings are expected to inform policymakers in addressing migration policies in Afghanistan.
